As specialist access control installers in London, A Matter of Security recently won a security tender package for a secured by design project in the heart of London for our private client.

The building a 12 floor Travelodge Hotel and 12 floor private residential premises with communal parts throughout.

Secured by Design (SBD) is the official police security initiative that works to improve the security of buildings and their immediate surroundings to provide safe places to live, work, shop and visit.

SBD’s product based accreditation scheme – the Police Preferred Specification – provides a recognised standard for all security products that can deter and reduce crime and is a requirement for building regulations.

The scheme included a 50+ door entry and access control security system to the specific design with an integrated CCTV solution for the private residential part of the building.

Equipment included specialist CAME BPT and Hikvision CCTV equipment throughout to control access of staff, visitors and residents and to provide recording of all communal parts of the building.
